Body Behavior in extreme situations

Research of body behavior in the context of extreme situations.

What happens to our body when it wants to convey an important message to someone but it is under constant surveillance? What happenes to our body when we want the others to talk to us but they are not allowed? How does ones body react when somebody deliberately turns off the light in an empty room? How does our body move when it demonstrates and protests?

In this workshop we will explore the physical reaction and impulses that the body creates and provides within a specific situation - mostly under pressure. Out of those impulses we will develop a sequence of short physical scenes. Individual and group improvisation will be the way to research movement and collect material. We will use the chance operation system to cross ideas and situations, in order to develop the choreography and determine the dramaturgy.

The workshop offers thus a brief introduction to the methods I employ in my work
