RAUSCH

For as long as humans have existed, they have tried to push and expand their own boundaries. They consume psychoactive substances, exhaust their bodies and throw themselves into experiences and rituals that manipulate consciousness and perception, reason and the senses. And for just as long they have condemned intoxication, transgression and the loss of self-control.

The world around us is spinning ever faster, with countless reports, figures, curiosities, the spectacular and the trivial whizzing past us every second. Higher, faster, louder. The world is on the edge. “And there's nothing beautiful left, what remains is the irrepressible desire, for more, more, more.” (Oliver Koletzki's).

The 3rd year drama students present their new movement piece entitled “Rausch” (Intoxication).

Choreographer and dancer Efrat Stempler has been engaged for the first time for the choreography and stage.

The music for the new piece was composed by Albrecht Ziepert and the costumes were designed by Keren Korman.
